Palantir splits finance-YouTube down the middle: business believers vs. chart-reading skeptics
ARK Invest said Palantir has been instrumental in showing how AI adoption is happening, which is why its business is growing so quickly. Bianco Research argued that defense investors need to rethink the space, pointing out Palantir has more government contracts than some names that are actually in defense indexes. TraderLion described the chart in constructive terms, pointing to tight ranges, a textbook base, a double-bottom shakeout at the bear-market low, and a breakout, and said they are still in the trade and even adding. On the more cautious and bearish side, Brian Shannon repeatedly described the stock as trending lower below a declining 20-day moving average, called it a broken stock in a downtrend, said it ran into the declining 200-day average and turned lower, and characterized it as "yesterday's news" that has done nothing all year. Among the mixed voices, Learn to Invest said they like the company and see a reasonable Buffett-style moat but pulled back and put it on a watch list pending a better opportunity. Brian Feroldi noted multiples are crazy high, though not as high as historically, while flagging that expectations and execution are also very high. Wall Street Millennial acknowledged there is truth behind CEO Karp's narrative, saying the business is doing well and is one of few large software companies to successfully integrate AI.
The short-term view: Near term, several traders see the stock as weak and trendless, with Brian Shannon repeatedly citing a declining 20-day and 200-day moving average, while TraderLion sees a completed base and breakout.

Watch video ↗No timestamp available in this export.Palantir still not really showing any signs of trying to heal... Lower high lower low and lower high. So, the trend is still lower below that declining 20-day moving average.
— Brian Shannon - Alpha Trends
Palunteer came right up to the declining 200 day moving average and did what it's supposed to. Don't trust rallies with a declining 200 day moving average.

Palantir, leave it alone. It's, you know, same as Microsoft. It ran into the declining 200-day average and continues lower.

Thanks, Palanteer. Really, Palanteer is the worst offender. It's no longer on the core list of companies.
— Trade Brigade, at 29:33
even Palunteer is on the losing side of the ledger.

Watch video ↗No timestamp available in this export. Here's Palantir. Uh I don't really have the ranges marked here, so uh take a moment... So, here in yellow, I've identified a few of the tight ranges... very textbook. Tight area to end out the base, and then we get a breakout and nice, I think, 50% swing, you know, out of here.

Watch video ↗No timestamp available in this export.Palantir is not in any defense stock index at all? Boeing is. And Palantir and Boeing and Boeing has less government contracts than Palantir does. So, the point I'm bringing up that we are so have to rethink defense... we're going to be buying completely new systems from more tec

the craziest one of all, if you don't say it is Palantir, okay? And you can say Palantir in some in some in some ways is benefiting from defense spend, of course it is. But Palantir was kind of a dog a couple years ago. Growth had fallen after the IPO into the teens... but boy, d

Watch video ↗No timestamp available in this export.my plan is to dollar cost average even more aggressively into Palanteer stock as the price keeps coming down. This isn't about catching a falling knife. It's about consistently growing my position in what I think is one of the best stocks to get rich without getting lucky.
